Nimbus on the Rise

One of the greatest things about being a small, growing business is when the people behind the magic get the recognition they deserve for the hard work, energy and relentless passion they have displayed when building their business. This is absolutely true when talking about Nimbus Beds own George Sinclair.

On Friday, November 18th, that recognition was given through Fife Chamber of Commerce at their rising stars dinner where George was one of 2 chosen speakers to represent up and coming businesses from across the region with young individuals at the helm.

Supporting George at the rising stars event -held in St. Andrews Fairmont Hotel - was the Nimbus team, who were delighted to have a night out mingling with other like minded business we and entrepreneurs from Fife. Following the introduction, George was the first speaker to take the stage and explained the journey he has been on since 5yrs old that has ended up with him at the top of Scotland's most successful independent bed store.

George’s speech took members of the chamber through his humble beginnings, with his dad giving him a small pot of money to buy and sell goods and auctions and car boot sales, through all of the opportunities people offered to him over the years through applying himself, being active within his communities and building a support network spanning the whole of Britain. The focus of his speech was to show that you are never too young to make a start and only consistent hard work and continuing to move forward will make your dreams come true and put you in the position to grow.

After the speech the team enjoyed a wonderful 3 course meal provided by the Fairmont Hotel before having a few wee refreshments and networking amongst Fifes up and coming talent, as well as many solidified talents already operating within the kingdom and nurturing the new wave of business.

George and the Nimbus team were thankful for the opportunity to attend, to be recognised and to celebrate in the company we have been working hard to build since 2017. The team will continue to push forward with hopes of growing the team, expanding to new locations and providing that much needed opportunity for others to make their start in business.
